In January 2024, Easy Bathrooms Easy became the latest BiKBBI Retail Installation Standards Partner in preparation for the launch of its national installation service, Simply Install, providing customers with a turnkey fitting service across Easy Bathroom’s impressive 139 showroom estate, working closely with BiKBBI to deliver a robust proposition for its customers.
On 6 February, BiKBBI held its annual conference in Westminster, with a theme of ‘Driving industry change through collaboration’ and featured an impressive line up of keynote speakers including Fergus Harradence, Deputy Director of Infrastructure Construction & Rail at the Department for Business & Trade (DBT), Emily Wallace, CEO of the Trade Association Forum (TAF), Diversity Ambassador for BiKBBI, the Rt. Hon Stuart Lawrence, supported by James Moore from the MoD’s Careers Transition Partnership and Apprentice Plumber Sophie Maguire.
The BiKBBI Awards 2024 were also held on the evening on 6 February, hosted by comedian Dom Holland, plus a performance from female comedian, Fatiha El Ghorri. The evening was a celebration of the achievements on the KBB installation sector, with more than 300 guests attending the sold-out event.
March was a hugely busy month as we welcomed new corporate sponsors; kitchen and bathroom manufacturer Hansgrohe and software specialist ArtiCAD.
Throughout April we continued to welcome a host of corporate sponsors including global furniture fittings manufacturer Blum, SONAS Bathrooms and global tech brand Cyncly.
In May, lighting become a focus as two further businesses pledged their support for the installation sector – Sensio Lighting and SycamoreLED.
This month, Damian Walters joined the InstallerFUTURES Advisory Board, working with the InstallerSHOW to shape the 2024 event.
June 2025 saw BiKBBI make its debut at InstallerSHOW, at the heart of the Installer Kitchens and Bathrooms zone – also making its debut at the show.
As part of BiKBBI’s activity at the show, we launched Funding the Future, in partnership with Blum UK - an initiative focused on growing the industry’s professional, compliant and reliable KBB installation workforce.
Waterline and Crown Imperial joined BiKBBI as corporate sponsors in July 2024.
In August, we announced our strategic partnership with the Worktop Fabricators Federation (WFF), a non-profit organisation representing businesses using industrial fabrication methods to manufacture large format slabs for surfaces, made from natural stone and similar man-made materials.
Also, this month… we were delighted to be awarded silver status in the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme, a programme designed to acknowledge employers who have provided exceptional support to the armed forces community.
As we welcomed autumn, we also welcomed PJH Group, Getley UK and Ideal Bathrooms as corporate sponsors.
In November, BiKBBI announced the launch of Accredited Installation Methods (AiM), a ground-breaking industry-specific certification scheme for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom installation sector, establishing a recognised industry standard that reduces risk, demonstrates credibility and provides quality assurance to all stakeholders involved in the KBB installation process.
At a ceremony in Central London in December, the British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation was presented The Lord Ferrers Award for Employer Supported Policing (ESP). Employer Supported Policing is a national scheme owned by the Home Office. It is a partnership benefitting employers, their staff and the police service by releasing Special Constables and Police Support Volunteers to volunteer in the communities they serve.
