At a ceremony in Central London this week, the British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation was presented The Lord Ferrers Award for Employer Supported Policing (ESP).
Pictured with Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, Claire Walters accepted the award on behalf of BiKBBI in recognition of its support of local community policing and its involvement with the ESP initiative.
Employer Supported Policing is a national scheme owned by the Home Office. It is a partnership benefitting employers, their staff and the police service by releasing Special Constables and Police Support Volunteers to volunteer in the communities they serve.
Speaking on behalf of BiKBBI, CEO Damian Walters commented: "I'm delighted BiKBBI is in a position to support the ESP initiative. This support delivers measurable benefit to our local community, something all businesses should consider. It also provides incredible reward to our business as those members of staff involved bring back some relevant transferrable skills back into the business."
